McCain's second round at being a fuck up....

The current economic crisis demands that we understand John McCain’s attitudes about economic oversight and corporate influence in federal regulation. Nothing illustrates the danger of his approach more clearly than his central role in the savings and loan scandal of the late ’80s and early ’90s.

John McCain was accused of improperly aiding his political patron, Charles Keating, chairman of the Lincoln Savings and Loan Association. The bipartisan Senate Ethics Committee launched investigations and formally reprimanded Senator McCain for his role in the scandal — the first such Senator to receive a major party nomination for president.

At the heart of the scandal was Keating’s Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, which took advantage of deregulation in the 1980s to make risky investments with its depositors’ money. McCain intervened on behalf of Charles Keating with federal regulators tasked with preventing banking fraud, and championed legislation to delay regulation of the savings and loan industry — actions that allowed Keating to continue his fraud at an incredible cost to taxpayers.

When the savings and loan industry collapsed, Keating’s failed company put taxpayers on the hook for $3.4 billion and more than 20,000 Americans lost their savings. John McCain was reprimanded by the bipartisan Senate Ethics Committee, but the ultimate cost of the crisis to American taxpayers reached more than $120 billion.

The Keating scandal is eerily similar to today’s credit crisis, where a lack of regulation and cozy relationships between the financial industry and Congress has allowed banks to make risky loans and profit by bending the rules. And in both cases, John McCain’s judgment and values have placed him on the wrong side of history.

Now I could sit here and bash McCain like "He's too old,Out of touch. Our country is not in that military bull headed as we once were",but when you can stick with hard cold facts. That's all you need. McCain that Obama has never has no experience in foreign affairs or he is "soft",but McCain is all about keeping a certain group of people on top. Why would someone living in the penthouse work there way down to the one bed room in Fairview. All my niggas in the hood in Fairiview are trying to make it to that Penthouse. That is a basic fundamental difference in the two canidates. Don't get me wrong. Sarah Palin being apart of this does make me proud to be an Alaskan. We may not share the same political views and I may read more newspapers from around the US and no more about what's going on in DC (turn on fucking cnn!! oops my bad. she probably watches Sly Fox". ),But we are from the same state and it's inspiration to strive none the less. This election means so much. I honest think this is going to have an impact on the next twenty or thirty years or so. We are on the brink of becoming a Socialist country. Basically the rich get richer and the poorer get poor. Think about it like this. Imagine your local little league competing with the Yankees on signing free agents. You still maintain your cookie and candy bar sale income and they got good Ol' Georgie handing out 100 mill to whoever he pleases. We have to make a change people. The time is now.

She got to be kidding me...

Palin did a great job! Not!! Well... I'm not gonna hate. She surprised me in certain areas. She spoke way better than I expected. Way better. She was able to speak in "common folk" language,so for the most part, I take it that the general public is going to say she won,but I beg differ. She avoided the real issues. The things that Barack was gut checking McCain on not only did she not tackle, she sidestepped!!!! She avoided foreign policy all together!!! How can she say Barack's plan of a sit down with out some kind of stipulations is a comment she has no experience, place, nor knowledge about. She has no real abroad experience. I'm from Anchorage,so that right there lets you know there is no hate involved. Ten years from now,I think she may have a chance at it again, but learning it on the go,being from a state which primary concern is to preserve the wildlife and natural resources, not possible. Anytime she was challenged she would revert to the "Maverick". LOL. Biden held it down!! Well mannered. Not that sarcastic nature I was afraid may show up. This is the thing. Barack is going to run the country different. We all know that. Some are afraid, and some are hoping we get that chance. It's almost certain MCcain not neccessarily follow the exact same foot steps, but his will be on the similar path. Palin is a puppet. No offense. She brings the ice and he brings the fire. Biden is a great running mate for Obama. For everything he may lack he has someone that will give him an honest opinion. His track record speaks for that. McCain is going to walk on Palin due to her inexperience. We are in a economic crisis and need to get out of this military state of mind. If this was the wwII area, then okay McCain is are dude. It's not though. C'mon you guys... We need change....

Let's be clear......

How about a great idea!

This will NEVER happen - makes too much sense!

I’m against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.

Instead, I’m in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend.
To make the math simple, let’s assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.

Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals $425,000.00.

My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend.

Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let’s assume a tax rate of 30%.

Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.

But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket. A husband and wife has $595,000.00.

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?
Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads
Put away money for college – it’ll be there
Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car - create jobs
Invest in the market - capital drives growth
Pay for your parent’s medical insurance / health care improves Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean or else

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.

If we’re going to re-distribute wealth let’s really do it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 (vote buy) economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President.

If we’re going to do an $85 billion bailout, let?s bail out every20adult US Citizen 18+!

As for AIG ? liquidate it.
Sell off its parts.
Let American General go back to being American General.
Sell off the real estate.
Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.

Here’s my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn’t.

Sure it’s a crazy idea that can “never work.”

But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!

How do you spell Economic Boom?

I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion
We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC .

And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.

Makes perfect sense...

Its wealthy people that are our leaders. These same wealthy people are the ones at the top of all of these giant companies. Most are lawyers.

Most politicians are wealthy lawyers and they make the laws. Who do these laws protect? Other wealthy lawyers and business people. They will fight to keep the money in the hands of the very few rich people in this world.

The poor/avg out number the rich by an enormous margin but the poor/avg do not vote as much as wealthy people do. They all vote. They get their way.

Its not “Majority Rules” its the “Majority within those that actually Vote that RULE”.

The poor and average persons of this world could reverse this in a very short time...

Ask around everyone you know. did you vote last year? Last local election? Last presidential election? Will you vote this year? The answer is no they did not. Don’t let them lie to you.
